Joan’s passion for teaching Pilates began eighteen years ago teaching Fitness classes to business executives.
Through her own experience with illness and injury, Joan fell in love with Joseph Pilates’ original exercise regime trademarked “The Method”, and Pilates became a lifestyle.
Joan looks forward to bringing more awareness to anyone with acute injuries, or clients who just wish to strengthen their bodies, to pay attention and honour their daily physical movements, young and mature.

Marina is a Physiotherapist Resident with a background in clinical care and pilates. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy in Brazil followed by a post-graduate specialization residency in children’s health. She has been working for over 10 years in a variety of healthcare settings like clinics, hospital and community treating a wide variety of neurological conditions, respiratory illnesses and musculoskeletal injuries.
Additionally, she has earned certifications in Pilates (Stott Pilates® and Voll Pilates Group) and Soft Tissue Release (SRT) and is currently completing additional training through the Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal (AIM) program, offered by the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
She has particular interest in blending pilates and movement rehabilitation, incorporating her unique combined skill-set in a patient-centric approach with personalized attention and compassion to develop a treatment plan that best aligns with their rehabilitation goals and empower them to return to activities they value.
